Government polytechnic, Narsipatnam was established in the year 1985 in an area of 11 acres. The institution started with two courses namely Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engg. and Diploma in Mechanical Engg. and subsequently in the academic year 1986-87 Diploma in Mining Engg. course was also added. From the trying circumstances of its inception stage, the institution has made an arduous and yet profoundly successful journey. Now it can be stated with confidence, that this Polytechnic is one of the best Polytechnic in the State in all respects. Obviously, it has emerged as the most prestigious institution of the town. Our Students have excelled in various fields and have come up to the positions of CEOâs in few organizations. This institution offers three year Diploma Courses in Electronics and Communication Engg., Diploma in Mechanical Engg., and Mining Engg.. The annual intake is 60 students in each branch.
